This is like some prefer immorality to morality because morality requires constraint, and constraints is not what immoral people seek because they are like self willed children.
Others are constrained by rules and regulations civil, federal, and / or occupational.

Teachings preceeded the U.S. CONSTITUTION, giving the idea that the people were well groomed in belief systems prior to the constitutional law.

The document was a series of 95 ideas about Christianity that he invited people to debate with him.
The US Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787, marking the end of the Constitutional Convention and the beginning of the ratification process.
